Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson To Deliver State of the City Address Jan. 26

Mayor to discuss her vision for creating “Riverside By Design”

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson will encourage Riverside residents and businesses to work together to create “Riverside By Design” at the State of the City address on Jan. 26.

The annual event, produced by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce in partnership with the City of Riverside, will be held in-person this year for the first time since 2020.

The address combines a review of the prior year’s accomplishments with an outline of major issues facing the city in the coming year. More information on how to attend the event or watch live can be found here.

“Riverside is on the move, and 2023 is going to be our best year yet!” Mayor Lock Dawson said. “Come be part of the momentum as we design our future together.”

The event will start at 5:30 p.m. and can be viewed at WatchRiverside.com, on Facebook, and on the following cable networks: Spectrum (Channel 3), Frontier (Channel 21) and AT&T (Channel 99).

Mayor Lock Dawson will announce the inaugural honoree of the new Innovation Award, which is given to a group or individual who epitomizes the spirit that helps make Riverside the City of Arts and Innovation.

The Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce will honor the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture with 2023 Riverside Hero Award. The Chamber also will announce winners of the Beautification Awards from Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful.
